Lounge chair

Material: ash wood

Lounge Chair was designed by Lauri Visnapuu for his third-year bachelor’s project. His aim was to create a visually friendly and comfortable lounge chair that invites people to sit and enjoy the present. The chair might not look "soft" at first sight, but the springy thin slats, curved shape and rubber shock-mounts underneath each slat allow the seat to adjust and change according to the user, giving it a cushion-like feeling. In its thoughtfulness and ingenuity of detailing, Lounge Chair reveals the influence of Hans J. Wegner's one of the most iconic designs.
