Curved Bench is a handmade masterpiece — a sculpture by aesthetics and a bench by function. The inspiration for the sculptural form comes from the ever-changing horizon, which sometimes appears flat, sometimes curved — depending on the point of view of the observer. The object reflects the designer's mastery of carpentry and ability to play with optical illusions and gravity. When weighted, the bench changes its shape; the curvature creates cushioning for those seated. The Curved Bench can be used by a maximum of 2 people at a time and can also serve as a low table.
