Plise

Ceiling lamp
Material: recycled paper (REPAPER)

The monumental “Plise” lamp is a contemporary version of a classic model. The form of the shade was inspired by the rhythms of 70's trends in the fashion industry and the unique texture of the lamp creates an industrial monolith, stone, or cement impression (though a special recycled paper technology was used to create it!). “Plise”, like most other designs by Simonas Tarvydas, is one of the examples of Lithuanian circular design. Local, secondary, and recycled raw materials are used to create this lamp. Object received a Lithuanian national design prize award in 2017.

“INDI lamps and other REPAPER interior objects can be recycled and reused as a material for future designs. That’s how we create the continuous production cycle that ensures responsible consumption and fosters contemporary design.”
