Terra

Material: Baltic linen, cashmere, alpaca wool

Terra is the effort of designer Alvida Klinge to use Latvian hand-weaving heritage and ancient linen-growing traditions in a contemporary way. Here traditional Latvian patterns are transformed using an innovative approach to thread composition, achieving new structures and textures. Local, ecological, unprocessed and raw linen is mainly used for the textiles. The linen fibre is visible and tactile on the fabrics. In throws, linen is mixed with cashmere and alpaca wool, which is specially carded and obtains an aged felt-like texture at a high temperature.
