Spatial structures

Low table
Material: birch wood, lacquer

This pragmatic sculptural table is an idea of a fragment – an idea of a section of space as a structure. It is a moment where various lines of thought are possible. Is it something that has been preserved? Or something that continues? It is a moment where various lines of thought are possible. In any case, it is a continuation of something in the eyes of the next observer.

Tallinn based Estonian designer Aap Piho has always been all into natural, traditional materials and handmade. His early development was shaped by the bauhausian dichotomy between art and pragmatism at the Department of Interior Architecture at the Estonian Academy of Arts, and his design studies at the Royal Academy of Art in the Netherlands, which were informed by creative freedom. His recent project Studio Aap is a declaration of freedom as a designer and creator.
